Our program is growing, and we’re looking for ways to engage students across the region in topics surrounding active transportation (walking and biking). This could take the form of a 30-minute presentation in your class, a semester-long research project, partnership with an after-school club, or anything we might be able to dream up together.

Governing Committee

Our program is guided by a committee of professionals through the six school systems of Buncombe, Asheville City, Henderson, Haywood, Madison, and Transylvania counties. This group of volunteers meet for a video call once every quarter to discuss progress, needs, and next steps.

Committee Members as of September 2025:
David Hart, Henderson County
Graham Haynes, Haywood County
