Our Area
Our program is housed in the Land of Sky Regional Council. Our programs extend across the six school systems of Asheville City, Buncombe County, Haywood County, Henderson County, Madison County, and Transylvania County.

The Land of Sky Safe Routes to School’s mission is to improve safety and accessibility for students walking and biking in the Land of Sky region through coordinated education, encouragement, enforcement, and evaluation efforts.
We envision a vibrant culture of active transportation in the Land of Sky Region inspired by the students of today.
